I am honored to have been part of Nepal’s digital transformation journey and to contribute to the growth of the country’s internet and web ecosystem. In 2000, I led the initiative to bring some of Nepal’s most respected publications, including the century-old Gorkhapatra National Daily and the widely circulated Kantipur Daily, online through Nepal’s first news portal, Nepalnews.com. This milestone helped open a new chapter in Nepal’s media industry and encouraged many other media organizations to embrace the internet as a platform for information dissemination.
My professional journey in the internet industry began in 1999 when I joined Mercantile Communications, Nepal’s first Internet Service Provider. During my tenure, I served in various capacities, including Web Coordinator and .np ccTLD Hostmaster. I was actively involved in the development, administration, and management of Nepal’s .np domain registry, helping establish a strong digital identity for individuals, organizations, and businesses across the country.
One of the achievements I take great pride in is contributing to the growth and sustainability of the .np domain registry, which has been provided free of cost to Nepali citizens and organizations for more than three decades. Through my work, I have remained committed to expanding digital access, promoting Nepal’s online presence, and supporting the country’s evolving internet landscape.

My professional work centers on leveraging digital platforms to build, design, and optimize web-based solutions. With a deep interest in how technology connects people and drives innovation, I focus on developing user-centric digital experiences, expanding online access, and promoting the power of communication through ICT.

Information and Communication is field that explores how information is created, processed, shared, and utilized in various forms—digitally and socially. I study the principles of communication, digital media, information systems, and the impact of technology on society. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills in areas like internet technologies, data management, media literacy, and ICT tools.
Photo /Video are powerful for capturing reality, expressing creativity, and telling stories visually. Being passionate both, I enjoy exploring how digital technologies have transformed these art forms. Photos freeze moments in time with emotion and detail, while videos bring stories to life through motion, sound, and sequence. In the digital world, these mediums allow us to communicate and share our experiences, making not just a hobby but a gateway to endless possibilities.
